Join our Puppy Play Party on Saturdays for a romping good time with your puppy.

Our Puppy Preschool class is for puppies 8-18 weeks old. Basic Behavior is for dogs 5 months and older. These classes provide the fundamentals to get you started on the right paw.

The Basic Behavior class lays the foundation for all of our advanced classes. Pick the class appropriate for your pups age, and let's get started!
Puppy Play Party

Class Description:
This fun play party is 1 hour of romping and playing with puppies their own size and age. During the party we will work on reinforcing good behaviors and buffing up their recalls. Bring lots of treats!
Puppy Play Party puppies are the first dogs in the space after being fully sanitized the night before. Our rooms are safe and secure for your puppy's safety.
Knowledgeable staff are on hand to answer questions and guide appropriate play interactions.

This is a fantastic add on for Puppy Preschool on Wednesday nights. Enrollment in Puppy Preschool class not required to join the parties, but they go hand in hand! Come once or every week!

Class Description:
Our Puppy Preschool class is designed for very young puppies so that they can have many positive experiences while young and grow up to be well adjusted dogs into adulthood. You will learn how to introduce your puppy to novel stimuli and get him or her off on the right foot for their life with humans. Puppies will play together while learning how to play nicely and not bite too hard.
Puppies in this age range are in a window of opportunity to introduce them to new experiences. They are like a sponge at this age, where everything is new and exciting. As your puppy’s new parents, it is your job to ensure these new experiences are positive and enjoyable for a happy pooch down the road.
Each week we have a different theme built around socializing your new puppy to various experiences such as vacuum cleaners, strange people, thunder, and going to the vet. Each of these experiences will prepare them for common life events that they might find scary. We'll introduce a new experience as well as cover the basics of puppy parenting (such as potty training, and dealing with naughty behavior). This is a great introduction to Basic Behavior.

Class Description:
Our Basic Behavior class is divided into 4 main parts: socialization, basic commands, discussion, and relaxation/handling. Throughout the course, your dog will learn how to meet and greet other dogs and humans appropriately and learn all the basic commands to be a well behaved pup. We cover sit, down, stay, leave it, loose leash walking, and much more. Each week we will talk about common issues concerning new pooch parents; potty training, dealing with naughty behaviors, reliable recalls, etc. We also teach you how to give your pooch a mini exam, while relaxing your pup. This is the first step in any veterinary or grooming experience.

Does your dog need some extra help heeling? Or can’t seem to stay for long periods of time? Our Beyond Basic Behavior class expands on skills covered in Basic Behavior. In this custom-designed class we only work on the skills you want more help with! Whether that's getting help getting a great recall, getting a rock solid stay, or learning new techniques that will prove useful down the road - this class is for you!
This class is great for any dog currently attending daycare at Positive Pooches, has attended a basic class elsewhere, and would like more training help and the perfect prep for the summertime Public Pooch class! You will have an opportunity to take the AKC Canine Good Citizen test at graduation!
